In my prior life as a freelance book critic (Can one truly call it a life without folk music?), I found that the best way to keep my readers informed was to distribute my articles via email. Folk101, I've decided, can benefit from the same method.
Every Monday, I will be assembling a short newsletter and emailing it directly to your in-box. This newsletter will contain the titles and summaries of any article or blog post that appeared over the course of the previous week. With a simple click on the title, you will be whisked away to the full article. It makes life so easy! Plus, your dreary Mondays will suddenly become uplifting and exciting as you read about the latest developments in the folk world. Every week will be like a three-day weekend! Well, maybe not, but at least you will have another excuse to goof off at work.
Eventually, I hope to add a few features that will be exclusive to the newsletter. These could include fun facts, trivia, contests (which means prizes) and additional articles or reviews.
Don't hesitate to sign up. I promise it will only be one email per week, so I will not be adding too much to your already bloated in-box. Besides, folk music is scientifically proven to be thinning. Furthermore, I will never distribute or sell your email address, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
I'm sure you've been convinced by now. So send me a quick email with some form of the phrase "please send me your weekly newsletter" in the subject line.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at folkmusic@suite101.com.
The first newsletter will go out May 22, so sign up today!
